Setting a scene by rearranging and/or re-contextualising objects in paradoxical arrangements can create a space which didn’t previously exist.  This space provides extra dimensions into which I can construct a multi-layered narrative, perhaps in order to convey a message, contradict itself, or make space for a sense of poetry. The viewer of course has the opportunity to extrapolate possibly in a different direction from the scenario and is free to construct a narrative of their own.
